Matt Powell / pastoral leadership
Matt and Lori Powell both grew up in the Katy area. After attending local Katy schools they both went off to San Marcos, TX to later graduate from Texas State University. Matt and Lori were married in 1997 and have been blessed with over 14 wonderful years of marriage. God has blessed the Powell family with two beautiful daughters and a son, Bethany, Avery, and Taylor.
Matt went on to complete his masters degree at Southwestern Seminary and and has completed his doctorate at Fuller Seminary. While working at another church in the Houston area, God called Matt and Lori to begin a new church in the Katy area. God has been so faithful to guide and provide at every step of the way. Matt and Lori are both incredibly excited to see how God will continue to use Crossings Community to impact people locally, nationally, and internationally.
Daniel Willingham / discipleship ministries
Daniel & Kimberly Willingham joined the church in November of 2008. Since then their family has grown from two to four kids, Kinley, Cole, Danna & Caleb. They enjoy hanging out as a family and doing many outdoor activities, including camping, hunting, and water skiing. Daniel works in sales and marketing for a family business which involves the wholesale of industrial gases, and Kimberly is full time at home their kids. They love Crossings Community Church because it fosters deep lasting relationships & true community centered around the mission of the gospel. Their lives have been and will continue to be enriched and transformed by walking in community with their church family. Daniel gives pastoral leadership to all discipleship ministries at Crossings Community.
Dennis Edge / administration ministries
Dennis and Deanna Edge have been with Crossings Community Church since the beginning, joining with us in October 2006. Married since 1975, they are empty-nesters and have four children. Dennis is employed in a Human Resources leadership capacity with a global engineering & construction company based in Houston. Deanna is a homemaker and serves in several capacities at our church, including the children’s ministry. Dennis gives pastoral leadership to the administration ministries at Crossings Community.
Mark Merrell / assimilation ministries
Mark and his wife Allison first walked through the doors of Crossings Community Church in the Fall of 2007. They instantly fell in love with the church’s communal atmosphere, its focus on the Scriptures, and its vision for the Katy community. While Mark spends his days downtown working as an attorney with the Houston law firm of Schwartz, Junell, Greenberg & Oathout, Allison devotes her workday to the students of Katy ISD, serving as a teacher and varsity volleyball coach at Morton Ranch High School. Mark and Allison are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Brooklynn (4) and Drew (3). Mark gives pastoral leadership to the assimilation ministries at Crossings Community.
